Not able to speak can make a different for the child to make his\/her feelings clear about social boundaries with other people. In such a situation how can a parent teach such a child about personal safety? One such graphic tool to use is the concept of social circles. Use this colour-coded tool to explain varying levels of familiarity with people the child may encounter on a daily basis.
