Caregiver Emergency Guide is a part of the “Future Readiness Program” which is supported by State Bank of India – Mutual Funds. This chart is a summary document and prepares caregivers of persons with IDD in case of an emergency. If the primary caregiver has to quarantine due to Covid-19 or is suffering from any other illnesses; this document will be a guiding chart for the person next in line for caregiving. The caregiver emergency guide chart includes a list of necessary documents such as Disability Certificate, UDID, Will, etc. This helps to ensure that the person with IDD has all necessary documentation. It also contains detailed lists of medication, doctors, food habits, stressors and other important items. These will come in handy for the proxy-caregiver. This will ensure the individual feels safe and will continue to be in good hands at all times.

Additionally, you can also read the article on Caregiver Stress Management.

Acknowledgement: We would like to thank State Bank of India- Mutual Fund  for their support in the UDID Presentation as well as the video.
