Early Intervention. A term every parent should know about. The first 3 years of a child are critical for a child’s development and if any developmental delays are observed, it is important to seek Early Intervention.

Dr. Koyeli Sengupta, Director, Autism Intervention Services at Ummeed Child Development Center, helps us understand Early Intervention from the perspective of its outcomes, the role that therapists play and the developmental importance of the first 3 years of a child’s life. She emphasises how “learn the signs” and “act early” are the action points to remember and how they are fundamental to influencing outcomes for a child with developmental delay or disability.

She hopes to encourage families of children with disabilities or developmental delays to seek Early Intervention and spread this critical message.
